SNOW!

Howdy all,
Sam here. I know you all know that I live in the desert... that's what make today so strange. IT SNOWED 6 INCHES!!! Pretty wild eh? Momma had to go into work this morning when it was not really snowing and then they didn't even cancel it when it it got up to a couple inches. She got home ok though, and she gets to stay home tomorrow! It started out really slow and it has been super cold but towards the afternoon it really picked up. I like snow, I find it tasty. Popo apparently hates snow (first time) but he is a skinny weenie so that's not really a surprise. I shot some pictures to give you the general look of things.

Here is me w/ momma.

and here's me making my annual yellow snow...

Here's the beard w/ popo the skinny freezing snow hater.

Here's popo trying to shake off the snow.

Now for a couple pictures to help you get the feel of how pretty snow is and how much The beard and momma miss it sometimes.

Here is how I like to keep warm on a snowy night!

Here is our favorite new nightly adventure. Ever since the sweet smelling lady started to smell like baby we get to go to drive thru's all the time. Here is popo waiting patiently for a taste of hamburger.

Here is me waiting not as patiently for the drive thru lady to hand us that fragrant bag of burgery goodness.

So that is all the news for now. I am sure we'll have another update soon with the holidays coming up. Till next time remember that snow is just snow so let the hating go.

Thanksgiving and the smell of decorated pine trees to pee on permeate the air!

Howdy folks,
Sam here. I figured I would share some of my recent samventures. We traveled down to the fantastic Dana point area to spend Thanksgiving giving thanks for the spoil me rottens. (grandparents) They made us a delicious feast of turkey! I love Turkey! They even set it on a plate on the floor for me and popo. I ate all mine real quick like and then attempted to snake popo's. After the feast there was much laying around and sleeping from all that tripo... tripta... you know that stuff in turkeys that gives people an excuse to lay around after the feast. Here is the beard laying around with popo.

We had a ton of fun during thanksgiving. The spoil me rottens took us on fun walks and Cori tried to jog with me. Little did she know I only have 2 speeds. Sniff the ground while slowly meandering, and LUDICROUS SPEED!!!!! None the less, it was super fun and the beard tells me we get to go back for Christmas.

Around the house we've been decorating our own house for the first time. It's no Clark Griswold but c'mon, we poor. Give the beard a break, Christmas lights are expensive and for some reason he doesn't own a ladders. It'll improve over the years since mama wants this house to be the envy of the whole neighborhood. We have a ways to go. See for yourself.

This is our Christmas Tree. The beard told mama that we should get a real one this year cause she has always wanted one but for some reason it didn't happen and she says it's too late now.

Here are our stockings hanging over our lamentably un-usable fireplace. I see images of happy dogs sleeping next to warm fireplaces all the time but ours wasn't made for fire. I hear the spoil me rottens have a working one. Man am I looking forward to that!

So HO HO HO MERRY COLD TIME AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

FASTER THAN A SPEEDING POPO!!

So we went to "Bark in the Park" which is sort of like a doggy carnival to help out with local animal rescues and shelters. They have booths and lots of exciting events. This was Porters first time. In the beginning he was a little stressed out from all of the action and commotion. Then we found his wheelhouse, his reason for living. We found the Dog races!!!
There was a booth set up where you could clock your dogs at their top speed with a radar gun. I stepped in first and put up a nice speed of 20mph. That was 2 mph faster than last year!
Then porter stepped to the line... The beard showed him the treat, the prize, the delicious milk bone, then ran to the other side of the field. Porter was chomping at the bit as momma held him back.... The tension was so incredible you could cut that steak with a sam tooth. Suddenly from out of the commotion and all of the swirling excitement the beards voice rang out like a beacon, a challenge for porter to give it all he had...

"COME ON POPO!!!!!!!"

Momma released the collar and Porter was off, flying across the field at incredible speeds never before witnessed in a dog size 10-25lbs. He reached the beard and the beard gave him crazy praise, we could all tell that we had just witnessed something very special, something we would never forget. Porter had run....

5mph....

PSYCH!!!

He had actually run 25MPH!

He was the absolute fastest small dog the entire day! He was like a comet blazing a trail through the grass bound for impact with history! He was like the delorean attempting to gain speed "FASTER MARTY!" and leaving a trail of flames in it's wake.

so seriously, 25mph is faster than the fastest human on the planet.

This pansy Usain Bolt only runs a 100m in 9.69 seconds, Porter can run it in 8.94 seconds. Try again Olympic medalist showboat! Porter is King! Get that dog some gold shoes.

so till next time remember that when converting MPH to meters it isn't worth the time to figure out so just google it and there's a program for that!

recent goings on and such.

Hello all,
A little talky talky then some pics. We've had lots of visitors lately. The beards parents came into town and that was fun, they seemed to be ok with our presence as long as we weren't passing gas in their general direction. We went to visit b+h last weekend and run crazy all over their house while the beard and the sweet smelling lady played wii fit. We even had them over a little while ago to stay for a sleepover.

As soon as H-Bomb arrived she wanted to leave...

B-trouble didn't mind staying here and I think he actually had a really good time.

Needless to say we were all tired after they left. I have found a new sleeping spot where nobody can get to me... The beard came in here to try and take a picture of me sleeping under the bed but I caught him in the act and snuck out before he could get the shot that way nobody will know that my new secret sleeping spot is under the guest bed.

ohhhh wait.... how do you go backwards on this thing??

Now for the obligatory post of popo. I don't want to keep posting these scared looking shots but that is how he looks every time the beard pulls out the flashy box. He's really not this much of a namby pamby.

Till next time remember that it is always best when packing a lunch to separate the dry from the wet ingredients for your sandwich until you are ready to eat!

Birthday=Funday!

So party people,
It was my birthday on Sunday. I would like to thank all of you for all of the gifts and well wishes. I know my public loves and adores me. The family decided to go to the spoil me rottens for the weekend to celebrate.
It just so happens that there is a dog beach on the way down there so we thought we would swing by to check out all the ladies romping in the sand and surf, covered in sweat and salty goodness. Here are some pictures from that beach adventure.

This is grandma trying to get me to go down by all that water. "Are you CRAZY? There are SHARKS out there. Besides that, it's too cold!"

The beard brought down popo and unclipped me from my leash so I could run wild.

This is a fun little beagle that popo decided he would play with.

The long and short of the beach situation was that nobody brought swimsuits and it was crowded but super fun until the beard forced me to get wet.

So, we packed up the car cleaned me and popo and went down to the spoil me rottens house. On Sunday when we woke up, the sweet smelling lady showed me that she had bought me a couple presents.

I gave them the sniff test.

Then the sweet lady helped me open them. I GO CRAZY FOR OPENING PRESENTS. (as you can tell from my googly eyes)

One of my presents was a rubber popsicle to beat the summer heat. Popo stole it and was caught in the act!

This is how he apologizes when he gets caught by mama. Kisses to say "I didn't do it. It wasn't me! Love ME!"

So till next time folks remember, "I am always watching!"

ALL BETTER!

So the sweet smelling lady is feeling probably mostly fine. She's up and about and sleeping in the big people bed. She started working with the heathens last week and she's been handling that just fine. She has to teach 30 of them at once! That's out of control. One of them already had lice... which she apparently had 3 times last year. She lives in a lice nest. So momo made the beard check her for lice since if she gets it we could all get it. Thankfully nobody has anything and we can all sleep without itching our brains out.
The beard says that next week we get to go to the dog beach and party it up southern California style. Fly honeys, sun, sand, and delicious seaweed. I'll take pictures for sure.
In other news the beard has fended off the same pit bull twice now and saved our hides. The neighbor lady is apparently watching Satan's dog (not an actual picture but totally close.)
At first she just let her out unleashed... she chased down popo and pounced. The beard used him mountain fu moves, unleashed the hairy mammoth inside (not an actual picture but pretty close)
and pulled her off. Then two days later while B+H were here the beard once again saved everyone from him when he came charging down the street at us. This time the beard grabbed her by the back of the neck using his super quick hands and pinned the dog while holding us back with the other hand... the beard is super awesome, simply amazing, probably the greatest beard ever, no not probably, certainly...

till next time,
Sam

park city and such

So the rents went to UT for the last week they brought back some pictures that I am sure you will enjoy! First off the beards family whom I have never met b/c they refuse to come and visit. I hear some of them don't like dogs??!?? but anyways here they are.

The person in both pictures is the beards sister. She stole the camera and took a funny picture of herself.

The rents spent a week in a giant cabin with lots of scary looking stuffed or skinned creatures. The beard being a weirdo decided to bring home pictures. He says crazy people have even been known to do this to dogs.
(There's a lot of these since the beard is so weird) For those of you in the know which house would you rather live in; this cabin or the temporary home of K&G?

I guess they finished off the week with a drive into the rockies and a trip to park city. At the beginning of the trip they encountered this crazy place!

As the drive progresses things got a little more scenic.

In park city the rents took silly pictures. Here the beard does his best bear impression.

The sweet smelling lady asked a moose for fashion advice.

Popo and I spent the week hanging out with H-bomb and B-Trouble. They were very nice to us as usual. So until the next exiting post remember to wear deodorant!
