Mothers are pretty great.

So,
Last week Teresa and Aiden went to the Mother Son dance at school. They had a really good time and enjoyed each others company.

Z and I stayed home.

Then it was mothers day. We celebrated Teresa by getting her a porch swing. This might not sound awesome but she's wanted one for a long time so while she was at a class on Saturday I took the kids out, bought it and put it together so we could surprise her when she got home.

She was surprised. On Sunday we went shopping and she got some clothes. We had lunch and had a really nice family day.

The countdown to summer is on and we are all anxiously awaiting the end of the school year/ work. till next time.

Stuff that has occurred since the previous time I posted about stuff that occurred.

So,
Since the last post a long time ago a lot of stuff probably happened that I forgot about or has been relegated to instagram and facebook posts since I am becoming one of those people who use their phone to take terribly quality pictures and then later wish I'd brought a camera.
Zoey and I went to a father daughter dance a while ago. Here is a picture of how outstanding we looked.

The past few weeks have been spring break for all of us. To start out spring break we reserved a spot at Sycamore Canyon State beach. Our previous experiences at Leo Carillo kept getting worse and worse so we thought we'd try a different spot and it was great. The campground was smaller, didn't have a store and seemed way more quiet and laid back. The kids had a good time throwing rocks at water, building in the sand, roasting marshmallows and being outside.

It was a fun trip and after the school year ends I hope there will be many more like it this year.

Then there was Easter. We went down to Orange county to visit the Grovers and enjoy grandparent/ aunt time.

We also went to the farm and picked strawberries and participated in late Easter activities.

The rest of spring break has been spent relaxing, hiking, hanging out and such.

Until Next Time-

The kids and Teresa went to see Frozen on Ice with Grandma Grover and Aunt Cori. They said it was fantastic.

Zoey got an award for Student of the Month.

The kids use our camera now and Aiden sat for a portrait.

Teresa and I finally joined the ranks of the smartphone masses. I am on instagram. That might explain the dearth of posts on samventures.

Till next time.

December Happenings

So,
Since we've all been released from school/ work we've been busy.

We went to Lancaster Blvd for a Christmas celebration.

KidsDecorated then ate cookies

We took our first trip to Universal Studios. It was small but nicely decorated and not too crowded. We received free passes from a former student of Teresa and they included a bunch of front of the line tickets so we really didn't have to wait in line all day which I think aided in the overall good impressions. We spent almost all of our time between Minion Land and Simpsons Land since there are only a few rides and those were the kids favorites.

We did manage to squeeze in the traditional studio tour. It was fun/ interesting.

Aiden awaiting the flash flood.

Laughing at all those poor people waiting in lines.

War of the Worlds Set with plane crash.
Simpsons land was really neat.

Kids worn out and waiting for the hollywood special effects show. We saw a guy get lit on fire for 17 seconds.

The next day we drove down to Orange County for Christmas festivities. On Christmas Eve the kids decorated Gingerbread houses and the tree.

Then Christmas Morning came and the kids made out like bandits.

We had a great time at the grandparents house. We've got a lot more time off so hopefully more adventures are to come.

Till Next Time-
