Father-Daughter Dance III and Spring Break ya'll

So this year marks the 3rd time Ryan took Zoey to the Father-Daughter Dance at school.  It was a little different this year, where as there was no time that the Fathers-Daughters danced, but as Ryan put it "It's not so much about the dancing, but making the daughters feel special".  Here they are all dressed up:

The following week was Spring Break.  We decided that we wanted to go camping. Death Valley was completely booked up, so went went with our 2nd choice, Joshua Tree National Park.  Since the weather there this time of year can be very cold, windy, and rainy, we decided to give our trip a little more comfort and rent a Cruise America RV.
It was WONDERFUL to have it since most nights were cold and really windy, we were able to cook inside, sleep more comfortably, and above all, not have to wake up and dress in layers to use the bathroom at night :)
Day 1 was getting the RV, driving to the campsite, setting up, relaxing.

Day 2:  Explore Joshua Tree, Hike to Skull Rock, go to the overview, cook burritos with rice, try a campfire, play with the camera during said camp fire....until the wind stopped it all!
Can you see the skull?

That's Ryan and the kids...way out there!

She loves climbing rocks!

Day 3 was our last day there.  We were expecting rain, so we weren't sure what we were going to be able to do, but it turned out to be a beautiful day!  We hiked to Barker Dam.

Water in the desert! Wet year in Cali!!

Aiden lost his shoe here.. fortunately it didn't fall in the water and Ryan got it!

Zoey had to try too!

Before heading out to spend their "Papa money" (money Papa Grover gave them to buy a souvenir) we did one last loop to Cap Rock where Ryan and the kids did some MORE rock climbing.

We also saw this all around the park.....look closely. Can you see THEM!!!
HUGE caterpillar cocoons.....EWWWW......I mean....COOL!!!

It was a fun trip!   Love exploring with the family!

Great family fun! That brings back so many memories--the rock climbing, the camping, the fire. It makes such a difference to be in a camper of some kind! Cute photos. It's looks like a good time was had by all!!
