The Post Post Post

Hello All,
Since returning from FL we've been laying pretty low. We seem to have caught a bit of an illness collectively (somehow).
We are in the process of recovery still. Three things are aiding in this endeavor. One is yogurt kisses.
Spreading bacteria ladened virus kisses always helps. Two is getting good naps.
The other is setting out about town to tour historical or otherwise interesting destinations for the purposes of 10 year old field trips. This weekend we went to the San Fernando Mission. A little known oasis of calm and beauty in a wasteland of strip malls and freeways. It is an actual mission from the old spanish days in California that has been preserved and somewhat repurposed. There is still a crazy old chapel and they still do catholic services, quincaneras etc. but part of it is a museum and gardens. Pics.
This is apparently the oldest organ in the United States. It's beat up and kind of comical. It takes up a whole wall and only has 16-ish keys.
Since we were down near our old haunts we took the opportunity to introduce the children to the best chinese restaurant we've ever had. Chi's! The lunch special gets you everything you see here plus soup and eggroll on the cheap, even on weekends. It was so good I am once again broken to the idea of "other" chinese food.
Will they find the perfect 5th grade field trip destination? Will they recover from the illness? Where will life take us next weekend! Stay tuned! RTSZA

It looks like you have the Mission to yourselves. A fun day for the fam. Aiden looks so miserable. I'm glad he's feeling better.

Love the pictures. I really like the one of Z asleep in the car. I'm always surprised when kids can fall asleep in carseats.
The mission looks cool and that food looks GOOD!
You guys are always doing something fun.
