Disneyland

So,
Since T has 2 weeks off and we are gluttons for punishment we decided to take the kids to Disneyland on Wednesday. We set out early that morning thinking there would be traffic. There wasn't so we got there really early, ate breakfast, parked, and rode the tram.

Happy to be there.

After we had been disemboweled (paid for tickets) we were searched then let into the park. It was only 8:30 am. Cool, we thought an extra 1/2 hour of time. We should have known better than that. They let everyone into the main street portion only so that you can spend your money. The crowd gets really dense and people get all antsy. Not pleasant. We bought nothing. TAKE THAT! There were full grown people in disney hats and buzz lightyear hoodies, all manner of people acting completely insane. Once they dropped the rope people started a mad dash to their favorite rides.
Mad Dashing. Too mad. Bad shot.
Apparently that means PETER PAN!!!! Teresa had in her head that we should go there first because the line always gets really long and we'll be the first people there. Even though it was the first ride we went to it was the longest line we stood in all day(still only 30 min.). Everyone had the same idea? The ride isn't even fun. The line isn't fun either.

Next we went on some other rides in fantasy land. Dumbo.

Pinocchio, Tea Cups. The squirts loved the tea cups. WOOOoooohhhh...h....h..... vomit. We went on them 3 times (not in a row).

The kids loved spinning it as fast as they could. Teresa did not.

Then we did more rides/ lines. Buzz light year and Autopia. The kids really liked both of those.

This kid drives like a maniac.

Aiden Speed Demon-ing it up.

The losers.
Next I think we went to the tiki room? (not interesting) Then we ate some hot carboard type food product. We noticed that some family had a personal attendant for all of their needs. They didn't even have to get their own condiments or napkins. Rich people.

Lady in the back is "attending" to the rich people. We are hungry po' folk.
Then I think pirates?

Teresa was terrified the pirates were going to get her. Aiden was not. Z hated it cause it was dark.
Then jungle cruise.

Our guide was not as funny as the last guy. I think that was his "schtick" he was sort of a "bum-bump-ba-da my jokes are bad" guy. weird.

Then the kids went up into Tarzan's treehouse. We probably walked around some more and stood in more lines. We went back to autopia and the teacups since the kids loved those so much. (Teresa's insert..... Aiden fell asleep so T and Zoey went to see the Beauty and the Beast play while Ry and Aiden found a shady spot to sit/sleep.)

Waiting in line.

Waiting in Line... he climbed on the rails in almost every line.

Guess what? Waiting in line.
Got her drivers license ready. Still waiting.

Almost Go time.

Zoooom! Z was a really good driver. She paid attention to the road and did her best to turn the right ways.

More teacups.

We went on buzz again. Then ate at the Pizza Port in tomorrow land. It was WAY worse than the lunch place. Definitely do not eat there.

Some more stuff might've happened in this part. Then we went to pick out our spot for the parade. We ended up with a good spot right in front of the ice cream shop on Main street. The kids were extremely happy about the parade.

Seeing princesses is AMAZING.

Ariel!!!!

Still AMAZING!!!!

Here is some video of the parade.

The kids didn't want to leave yet so we went back to the Tea Cups (for our 3rd ride) and finished the day at Pirates (for the 2nd time).

Then we left. We finally made it back to the car at 9:30pm. (Total day= wake up at 4:30am, in the park at 8:30am, left at 9:30pm...home at 11 pm.......long day)   The kids were asleep before we hit the highway. I was almost asleep before we made it home. We survived. Disneyland is for children. They really liked it.(and so did Ryan but he will never admit it :)   So, that's good.

Till Next time-

The pictures of Z watching the parade are priceless. The adults who get way into Disney are kind of strange. Looks like fun! And the fact that your longest line was only 30 minutes doesn't sound too bad. Enjoy the rest of spring break! Love you guys.

This post brings back lots of memories of taking you all there. Sounds like a great day and one that the children will remember for a long time.
