Sports Are For Girls!

So,

We signed Z up for a sports class through one of the local parks and rec departments. She attended her first session yesterday. I figured I would sign her up for a sports class since A has to tag along. Cooking sounded too messy, arts and crafts sounds too mellow. Sports! Sure I can do that, and A will have space to run. The first class was soccer. Every american kid looks forward to the day adults will attempt to make them play a game in which they can't use their hands! This was Zs response to that idea!!

Take the ball and RUN!!!! Now protect what's MINE!!!!

Eventually she started listening to the teachers and not worrying about all of the other kids being out to get her ball.

They practiced dribbling, trapping and scoring goals. Here she applauds the cutest boy in class!

"A" and I watched this part from the sidelines, like most Americans watch soccer. (moderately engaged)

Z really did have a lot of fun. Next week is indoor t-ball!!!
