We've been home for a while now and things are settling back into a routine. We are looking forward to our next trip, passing classes, venturing out and cutting hairs.
The ONLY splash park anywhere near here is in our old town Oak Park so we set out for that. It was a good one. Being back in Oak Park was strange. We stopped and took some shots of the old homestead.
That is actually significantly less vine on the front of the house than there used to be. The street looked much the same.
The splash pad was pretty good. Not quite as good as the one we went to in C'ville but it was good and the kids have warmed up to the idea for the time being so they had lots of fun.
As usual when we set out fo far flung destinations our lunch was all lined up, pre-destined, and set in stone. T loves the lampost pizza up in Oak Park back from our High School days. Back then the lunch special was $4.50 for 2 slices, a salad and a drink. Now it's $8... so we ordered a small and it was really good. It disappeared.
Since then we have been laying low, trying to conserve our resources, hanging out at home. To entertain ourselves we cut hair, bbq various meats and non meats, and go to the park. I had tried before to give "A" a Mohawk but he wouldn't hold still before so he ended up bald. This Time I had T's help to pin him down. (only kidding Grandma)
This weekend T took the kids down to the OC so that Sam I can try and install new floors in the kitchen and entry.
Till next time-

I know it looks like he hates it but he is actually crying about me taking away the Vacuum attachment for the shot.
In reality he likes the cut and Z likes her shorter bangs.

Our old house looks good--especially the beautiful doors I worked so hard on. Oak Park is a pretty place. The splash pad looks fun. Lamp Post Pizza, huh? Now I know why I didn't see you during lunch hour at OPHS. We miss having you here. Good luck with the floor. You need Craig, who recently redid their floors.
Fancy new garage door. I bet their kids don't play handball on that baby.
Nice haircuts!
I'm excited to see your before/after shots of the floor! We're wanting to paint our dining room, but we're having a hard time picking a color. Right now it looks like a patchwork quilt.
Some good memories in that Oak Park home. Love seeing pics of your growing family. :)
